1. Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the app's core functionality:

• Account information: Your email address, used to create and authenticate your account.
• Journal reflections: The written entries you submit within the app, including responses to daily prompts and guided reflection sessions.
• Goals and vision statements: Any personal goals or long-term vision statements you choose to save.
• Usage data: Basic, anonymous data such as session frequency and feature interactions, used solely to improve the app experience. This data cannot be linked back to you personally.
• Device information: Device type and operating system version, collected automatically to ensure compatibility.

We do not collect your name, phone number, location, contacts, camera data, or any sensitive personal identifiers beyond those listed above.

2. AI Processing & Your Journal Data

Specifically, your journal entries may be sent to OpenAI's API to generate contextual responses, follow-up questions, and analytical summaries. OpenAI processes this data solely to return a response and does not use your content to train its models under our enterprise usage agreement.

Your journal data is never sold to third parties, shared with advertisers, or used for any commercial purpose beyond delivering the personalized features you explicitly request within the app.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Deliver daily quotes, AI-generated prompts, and reflection responses
• Generate your 90-day personal growth analysis (Full Journey subscribers)
• Maintain your journal history, goals, and vision statements
• Process subscription payments via Apple and Google
• Send optional daily reminder notifications (only if you enable them)
• Improve app stability and fix bugs using anonymous usage data

We will never use your data to serve you advertisements or share it with marketing companies.

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following service providers, and only to the extent necessary to operate the app:

• OpenAI: Processes journal content to generate AI insights. Data is not retained or used for model training.
• RevenueCat: Manages subscription state and purchase verification. No journal or reflection data is shared with RevenueCat.
• Apple / Google: Handle payment processing for subscriptions. Subject to their respective privacy policies.
• Neon (database hosting): Stores your account data and journal entries on secure, encrypted servers.

All third-party providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than the services they provide to us.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

Everyman's Odyssey offers a free tier and a Full Journey subscription available monthly ($4.99/month) or annually ($49.99/year). Payments are processed entirely by Apple (iOS) or Google (Android). We never see or store your payment card details.

Subscription management — including cancellation — is handled through your App Store or Google Play account settings.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data and journal entries for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion of your account, we will permanently remove your email address, journal entries, goals, and all associated personal data within 30 days of receiving your request.

Anonymous, non-identifiable usage statistics may be retained for analytical purposes after account deletion.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate or outdated information
• Export your journal data upon request
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account

If you are located in the European Union, United Kingdom, or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA respectively. Please contact us to exercise any of these rights.

8. Children's Privacy

Everyman's Odyssey is intended for users aged 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will delete that information immediately. 9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you within the app. Your continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
